The International Buddha Peace Award & Gaurav Shri Samman was graciously conferred upon all distinguished honorees by the Honourable Governor of Assam, Shri Lakshman Prasad Acharya. In his keynote address, the Governor lauded the Maitry Peace Foundation for its enduring dedication to recognizing individuals who foster positive change at the grassroots level.
“Each of today’s recipients reflects the finest values of service, empathy, and social harmony. Their actions uplift communities and set a powerful example for all,” said Governor Acharya.

The event was led by Surajit Barua, President of the Maitry Peace Foundation and a revered Buddhist monk. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of honoring those who serve selflessly and build peace through action and unity.
