Adjudicator, Indian Book of Records

1. As an adjudicator, how do you know when someone’s record is truly genuine?

Pavani: It comes from a balance of intuition and close observation. I look beyond the performance into the effort behind it. Authenticity isn’t just about facts, it’s about feeling the truth in the moment.

2. What emotion do you first sense when a record attempt begins, hope, tension, or ambition?

Pavani: It’s a mix of all three. There’s an energy in the air, a quiet storm of focus and belief. I sense a deep human desire to turn a dream into history.

3. How would you describe excellence when it comes to talent?

Pavani: True excellence is when someone goes beyond their own limits, physically or mentally. It’s when normal effort turns into something extraordinary and unforgettable.

4. How do you stay fair while judging records, especially when emotions are high?

Pavani: Being fair means staying balanced. I must look at the facts carefully but also respect the passion behind them. It’s a job that needs both logic and empathy.

5. When you see something incredible, what do you do first, cheer, write, or reflect?

Pavani: I reflect. Because in that moment, I’m witnessing something bigger than just a performance, it's a life-defining moment. I silently honor what I see.

6. How do you make sure a record is real and not exaggerated?

Pavani: We use multiple ways to check, videos, documents, expert opinions, and witnesses. What matters is not how grand the attempt looks, but how true it really is.

7. Do you see the Indian Book of Records as a collection of achievements or a platform for possibilities?

Pavani: It’s a platform of endless possibilities. We don’t just record what has been done, we inspire what can still be done.

8. What kind of talents have amazed you the most?

Pavani: So many! From children solving puzzles blindfolded to people performing incredible physical stunts. Each one is proof that human potential has no limit.

9. How does Indian Book of Records contribute to India’s pride?

Pavani: We highlight hidden talent from every part of the country. By doing this, we bring out stories that fill the nation with pride and inspiration.

10. What are your thoughts on school campaigns and their impact?

Pavani: Our school programs are full of purpose. We want every child to know they can dream big, start early, and achieve something great. We tell them, “You are never too small to aim high.”

11. In today’s fast-paced world, how do you value long-term achievement?

Pavani: We’re not chasing trends or popularity. We focus on achievements that will still matter years from now. It’s about legacy, not just likes.

12. How does winning a record change someone’s life?

Pavani: It boosts confidence in a powerful way. People start seeing themselves differently. They become part of history.

13. What have you personally learned from your role as an adjudicator?

Pavani: I’ve learned deep respect, for effort, for courage, for determination. I’ve seen people turn the impossible into reality, and it has changed how I see the world.

14. How important is language and clarity in your role?

Pavani: Very important. One small word can either confuse or bring great honor. We choose our words carefully because they help define someone’s legacy.

15. What does “impossible” mean to Indian Book of Records?

Pavani: We don’t believe in that word. For us, “impossible” just means “not tried yet.”

16. What would you say to parents who don’t believe their child has any special talent?

Pavani: Every child has something unique inside them. Parents need to believe and support their child. You’re not just raising kids; you’re shaping future legends.

17. How different is it to judge a child’s record compared to an adult’s?

Pavani: Children are more emotional and sensitive. We have to be extra careful and kind because our words and decisions shape their future mindset.

18. What do you do when a record is not clearly genuine?

Pavani: I rely on careful observation and a deep understanding of the situation. If there’s any doubt, we always choose fairness and truth.

19. How can someone begin their journey to set a record?

Pavani: First, believe in your unique ability. Then log on to www.indianbookofrecords.com/setarecord - where dreams become milestones.

20. What does being an adjudicator means to you personally?

Pavani: It’s not just a job, it’s a responsibility. I feel honored to be part of someone’s greatest moment. I help turn talent into timeless memory.
