India Unveils Dynamic Squad for the 4th World Cup Beach Woodball Championship 2025 in Thailand

 

 Nagpur, Maharashtra –  The Indian Woodball contingent is gearing up to compete at the prestigious 4th World Cup Beach Woodball Championship 2025, to be staged at the scenic Laem Charoen Beach, Rayong, Thailand, from 7th to 12th September 2025. This global sporting spectacle will bring together elite Woodball players from across continents, promising thrilling competition on the golden sands of Thailand.

At the helm of the Indian squad is Nagpur’s Adv. Sudeep Manwatkar, an internationally recognized player, mentor, and leader, appointed as Team Leader. Known for his unwavering dedication and years of contribution to Indian Woodball, Adv. Manwatkar is expected to inspire and guide the contingent with both strategic leadership and motivational spirit.

This year’s World Cup Beach Woodball Championship has attracted wide participation from some of the strongest Woodball nations including China, Malaysia, Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mongolia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Pakistan, Peru, Denmark, Uganda, and several other affiliated nations from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. India’s presence at such a prestigious platform demonstrates the nation’s growing influence in the international Woodball fraternity.

The Indian squad for Thailand 2025 represents a diverse and talented mix of athletes, hailing from 8 states and regions across the country, showcasing the widespread reach of Woodball in India. Each athlete brings unique strengths, passion, and dedication to the game:

Deepak Agrawal, IAS – Chhattisgarh – a senior official whose presence brings stature and organizational strength to the squad.

Prem Prakash Meena – New Delhi – a spirited athlete from the capital, representing the new wave of Woodball enthusiasts.

Jitendra Patel – Chhattisgarh – an experienced international player, known for his consistency and dedication to the sport.

Dr. Sushma Manwatkar – International Technical Official (ITO), appointed by IWbF – representing India in a prestigious officiating role, adding credibility and technical expertise.

Devpujan Thakur – Jharkhand – a young and energetic player bringing raw talent and hunger for international success.

Virat Parmar – Madhya Pradesh – a dependable team member recognized for his calmness under pressure.

Hardik Dhull – Haryana – a strong performer whose fitness and athleticism make him a key asset.

Bhavesh Galanga – Gujarat – an emerging name in Indian Woodball, showcasing Gujarat’s rising talent.
